First of all, we have our council games' captains... basketball, Reshara, handball, Koji Chua, volleyball, Sarinnya, futsal, Danial Wong, amazing race, Justin Tan, football, Ruben Joseph and lass but not least, dodgeball captain, Ancyran. Without you guys/ girls, the games will not be as successful and fun as they were to be.
All of us (the BODs and the seniors) really appreciate all of your effort -those who went for prefect council and/ or reunion. We hope that next year everyone will continue the spirit of being a prefect and therefore make US, SMK SU's prefect proud.

Life Of Leaders 2012
Geia sas prefects!!!!! Hope you've all been fine. Firstly, we would like to apologize for not constantly updating the blog. As the IT Directors we've not been doing our job but better late than never. So here we go all at once...
The BODs would like to thank you all for making this year's prefects' camp a very memorable one. We certainly had fun preparing this camp for all of you and we know that y'all really had a wonderful time. We would also like to thank the ex-prefects for coming and supporting us throughout the camp. Without them, the camp wouldn't have been very productive. Overall, it was a great camp and we hope that next year's BODs will make next year's camp even better than this year's. Thank you all once again for participating in the Life of Leaders.

Prefects Council - Dodgeball
DODGEBALL - 8th June 2012 - SMK USJ 12 basketball court.
*Rules & regulations :-
> THE GAME
The object of the game is to eliminate all opposing players by getting them "OUT". This may be done by:
1. Hitting an opposing player with a LIVE thrown ball.
2. Catching a LIVE ball thrown by your opponent before it touches the ground.
Definition: LIVE: A ball that has been thrown and has not touched the floor.
> BOUNDARIES
During play, all players must remain within the boundary lines. If a player crosses/ touches the line, he/she will be eliminated.
> THE OPENING RUSH
Game begins by placing the dodgeballs along the center line – three (3) on one side of the center hash and three (3) on the other. Players then take a position behind their end line. Following a signal by the official, teams may approach the centerline to retrieve the balls. This signal officially starts the contest. Teams may only retrieve the three (3) balls to their right of the center hash. Once a ball is retrieved it must be taken behind the attack-line before it can be legally thrown.
> TIMING AND WINNING A GAME
The first team to legally eliminate all opposing players will be declared the winner. A 3-minute time limit has been established for each contest. If neither team has been eliminated at the end of the 3 minutes, the team with the greater number of players remaining will be declared the winner.
> SUBSTITUTIONS
Substitution can only be made when a game is over. Once a game is over, substitution can be made and game continues immediately until 3 minutes is up.
> 5-SECOND VIOLATION
In order to reduce stalling, a violation will be called if a team controls more balls on the side of their court for more than 5 seconds. However, if both teams have equal number of balls, team with higher number of surviving members will be called to throw the balls first. If both teams are still equal in number of balls and members, a random team will be called by the marshal(reff) to throw first.
> RULE ENFORCEMENT
During matches, rules will be enforced primarily by the "honor system"*. Players will be expected to rule whether or not a hit was legal or whether they were legally eliminated. All contests will be supervised by a marshal. The marshal’s responsibility will be to rule on any situation in which teams cannot agree. THE MARSHAL’S DECISION IS FINAL – NO EXCEPTIONS.
> Code of Conduct
1. Understand, appreciate and abide by the rules of the game.
2. Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials.
3. Respect your opponent and congratulate them in a courteous manner following each match whether in victory or defeat.
4. Be responsible for your actions and maintain self-control.
5. Do not taunt or bait opponents and refrain from using foul or abusive language.
*All the above are official rules, please go through it to ensure smooth game play!

We Bid Them Adieu
Bonjour, Prefects!!! Tomorrow is gonna be a very emotional day for some as we say goodbye to two very precious gems from our school. These gems are none other then Mr. Tan Wooi Choong and Pn. Siti Sarifah bt. Mohd Arif.
These two teachers have been serving our school for a very long time. One carried the weight of the school's IT on his shoulders while the other served as the head of the language department. We know some of y'all have been taught by these Gurus and some of y'all have not but as prefects we should always respect all our teachers and appreciate all that they've done for us whether or not a certain teacher has taught us. We must know that no matter who the teacher is, they have served our school to the fullest in making it a better one. So let's make this retirement ceremony a joyful occasion because with just by being present, they will feel appreciated and leave the school knowing that they've made an impact in their students' lives and the welfare of the school. They will be dearly missed and we hope that they have a happy retirement ahead of them. Oh and not to be a spoiler or anything but your duties go on as usual during the ceremony. No one must escape the school... No one...

Bienvenido de nuevo, los Prefectos de SMKSU!!!
Wassup, Prefects!!! First of all, welcome back to school!!!
We are your IT Directors of 2011/2012, Kyle Roshen Jacob and Lydia Tan, hoping that you all had a great holiday and wishing you all a very happy new year. Another year has come and gone and what a great year it was!!! We know there was a lot of drama and all but we got through it right?? We hope that we all can put all that drama behind us and look to the future with high spirits.
On behalf of the Prefectorial Board of 2011/2012, we would just like to say "CONGRATULATIONS!!!" to all of last year's Form 3 prefects on your PMR results. We know a lot of you passed with flying colours but for those who did not, don't fret because upper secondary is a gonna be a whole different ride of your lives!!! For those who think that Form 4 is the "honeymoon year", THINK AGAIN!!! We're not trying to scare ya'll or anything it's just that don't party around too much this year.
To all of last year's Form 2 prefects, we pray and hope that ya'll continue your prefectorial journey in SMKSU. We know that ya'll are gonna have your PMR exams this year but don't let that affect your journey of being a prefect. That's what makes us different from the other students. Ya'll should know how to manage time properly. PMR is a snap!!! Trust us, we know. We're not forcing ya'll to continue but just think about it, make this decision wisely and we hope you choose the right path. You've already completed 2 years in this wonderful school as a prefect, why not continue right??
To this year's afternoon session Prefectorial Board, we trust that you will handle things in the afternoon session well and we hope that you recruit Form 1s that you think are qualified enough to join our family and not just because they're your friends.
Lastly, to all Form 5 prefects, it's 2012. Our last year. The year has finally come where we can start driving. The year we graduate. PROM NIGHT!!! And of course one of the most dreaded moments of our lives... SPM!!! But let us not forget that we are prefects and this year, we run the show which means we gotta continue to do our duties as a prefect but not neglect our studies and above all be good examples to our juniors. This is our year people!!!
And so dear prefects, let us continue to serve our school and bring her to new heights!!! We wish you all a good year ahead of you...
